A koala might look like an adorable cute litte teddy bear in reality it is one of the dumbest species one that has never heard of survival of the fittest. Im just a person with an internet connection and a love of weird animal factoids.

They are fucking dumb hes not wrong.

Koalas are stupid animals. Basically theyre my spirit animal. The cuddly koala may be the stupidest and all round worst animal in the world. As part of humor it is speculated that upon separation of koalas and wombats wombats stole brain and the intellectual ability of koalas.

Why koalas are the worlds dumbest animals. There are myriad reasons koalas are actually horrible animals. Koalas and wombats are believed to have separated some 42 million years ago.

Lets start with the koala lifestyle. They eat faecal pap which is different to poop. Also theyre kind of dicks.

And through hours or ok tens of minutes of careful research ive realized that there is no reason koalas should exist. From rampant attacks on the people they encounter to the disgusting behavior of their young koalas are just terrible to their core. Koalas are very specific in their choice of tree size species and the age of the foliage they eat off the tree to lessen the amount of toxins they do ingest.

In fact its almost a miracle they are not already extinct today. They have one of the smallest brain to body ratios of any mammal additionally their brains are smooth. Baby koalas do not eat their mothers shit.

Even though koalas are dumb dumbs they still managed to survive somehow. Koalas are terrible animals koalas are fucking horrible animals. Maybe they are clever in their stupidity.

As such it is crystal clear from this discovery that not only can the structures protect koalas from becoming roadkill thus allowing the marsupials to slowly recover from their endangered status but also that the iconic koala is a lot more intelligent and a lot less stupid than we thought.
